Track Name: By the Shore
Look at what we started
How it ends by the shore
The not-so-dear departed
Would rest easier with their bellies full
Would rest easier with their bellies full of light
My dear, let’s build a home here (dear, let’s build a home here)
With our hands, we’ll till the earth (we will till the earth)
We’ll need no map or compass (need no map or compass)
No man will find us here
No man will dare come near
But we will skin the wolves that trespass (skin the wolves that trespass)
We will skin the wolves that trespass (skin the wolves that trespass)
We will skin the wolves that trespass (skin the wolves that trespass) And we’ll rest easier with our bellies full
We’ll rest easier with our bellies full
We’ll rest easier with our bellies full of light
I can’t imagine weaning off your waning waves
I can’t imagine wading in these waters alone
I can’t imagine weaning off your waning waves
I can’t imagine wading in these waters alone
All along, the Night Sky was watching over us, watching over me
Watching as your hand travelled down the small of my back
All along, the Night Sky was watching over us
All along, the Night Sky was watching over us
And I can still feel you moving (I would rest easier)
I can still feel you moving (I would rest easier)
I can still feel you moving (I would rest easier)
I can still feel you moving (I would rest easier)
I can still feel you moving
I can still feel you moving
I can still feel you moving
I can still feel you moving
Look at what we started
How it ends by the shore

Track Name: Noctua
Do you remember when December
Wrapped its bony hands around my neck
And pulled the sky out from under my feet
Aye, I plummeted, barrel-rolled, not quite a comet
But the nettles were there to break my fall
The nettles were there to break my fall
It stings my eyes so the sunrise
Star light, star bright, I feel I’m fading
Hydra, Corvus, steady on your course
Never floundering in Argo’s wake
But the nettles were there to break my fall
The nettles were there to break my fall
The nettles were there to break my fall
The nettles were there to break my fall
The nettles were there to break my fall
When the night turned crimson
The nettles were there to break my fall
Tumbling over the horizon
The nettles were there to break my fall
The Swan, the Fox, the Goose, the Lyre
The nettles were there to break my fall
As I spiralled down
Raining shards of Urania’s Mirror down upon my head
Raining shards of Urania’s Mirror down upon my head, Noctua
Raining shards of Urania’s Mirror down upon my head, Noctua
When the last days of autumn roll around
When the last days of autumn roll around
When the robins forage but few mouthfuls are to be had
Will they know by these hollow bones
That a little owl once sat proud in the heavens here?
But the nettles were there to break my fall
When the night turned crimson
The nettles were there to break my fall
Tumbling over the horizon
The nettles were there to break my fall
The Swan, the Fox, the Goose, the Lyre
The nettles were there to break my fall
As I spiralled down

Track Name: Pale Ghost of Her
I just don’t know what it is.
Something in the water?
Something in the wind?
I just know you’ll do me wrong…
Something is coming on
And this is getting out of hand
This grief was mine alone to hold
Promises, like porcelain dolls left out in the cold
Dip my fingers in your puddles
Weigh my pockets down with stones
A marshmallow world on Christmas
Trimmed in viscera and bone
Is burning down
I just don’t know whether it
Is hidden in a whisper or hidden in a wish
Are you feral or are you tame?
On her lips, I can taste your name
And this is getting out of hand
This grief was mine alone to hold
Promises, like porcelain dolls left out in the cold
Dip my fingers in your puddles
Weigh my pockets down with stones
A marshmallow world on Christmas
Trimmed in viscera and bone
Is burning down
I just don’t know what it is.
Something in the water?
Something in the wind?
I just know you’ll do me wrong…
Something is coming on
And when they ask if I know what you’re up to these days
I’ll say, “Haven’t you heard that she died in a fiery blaze?”
And you’ll say, “Hold on! I’m standing right here!”
But you’re the wrong shade of gold
You’re just the pale ghost of her, of her
And you’ll be singing, “No red, red roses
Blood-rimmed eyes or raw noses.
There’ll be no red, red roses on my grave!
There will be no red, red roses
Blood-rimmed eyes or raw noses.
There’ll be no red, red roses on my grave!”
There will be no red roses on my grave
There will be no, there will be no red roses on my grave
There will be no, there will be no red roses on my grave
There will be no, there will be no red roses on my grave

Track Name: All That You've Ever Wanted
Way to go and lead the Devil by the hand
Into your innermost sanctum
A private conversation blown to the wind
On the terms of your incarceration
There’s no getting out when it’s standing room only
There is no getting out of the warm crush of bodies
There is no getting out when it’s all that you’ve ever wanted
Way to go and tuck yourself into the craw
Of the fearsome bird of black armour
A dusty mausoleum, a shrine to the part of yourself
That died a hundred times over
There’s no getting out when it’s standing room only
There is no getting out of the warm crush of bodies
There is no getting out when it’s all that you’ve ever wanted
I am already there, standing by your side
Faster than the sound of your dying red sun
I am already there, faster than Orion
Trained on the horizon of your dying red sun
I am already there, standing by your side
Faster than the sound of your dying red sun
I am already there, faster than Orion
Trained on the horizon of your dying red sun
There’s no getting out when it’s standing room only
There is no getting out of the warm crush of bodies
There is no getting out when it’s all that you’ve ever wanted
When it’s all that you’ve ever wanted
Is it all that you’ve ever wanted?

Track Name: Into Oblivion
“I’ll lead you all into oblivion,” you said, “I’ll lead you into the ground.
I’ll make no exception for it is my intention to lead you all down.”
“You see, I’m on my way to better things,” you said, “but a body can get mighty restless.
But when you’re on a roll and you’re on your own out here on the road to greatness
You gotta raise the stakes, yes.”
“And there be monsters here,” I said, “at the edges of my map.
You take away the waves, you take away the waves, you’re left with only water.”
Take away the waves, take away the waves, you’re left with only water
“I’ll lead you all into oblivion,” you said, “I’ll lead you all down.
‘Cause I’m on a roll and I’ll be striking gold out here on the road to riches
You gotta scratch that itch, yes.”
“And there be monsters here,” I said, “at the edges of my map.
You take away the waves, you take away the waves, you’re left with only water.”
“There be monsters here,” I said, “at the edges of my map.
You take away the waves, you take away the waves, you’re left with only water.”
Take away the waves, take away the waves, you’re left with only water
Take away the waves, take away the waves, you’re left with only water
“And there be monsters here,” I said, “oh, they are hunting.”
Lay down your dreams
Lay down your dreams
All that you hold dear surrender unto me
All that you hold dear surrender unto she
Who will lead you into the belly of the whale
Who will lead you into the belly of the whale
And you will come riding in, sword drawn and irises blazing
Oh, has it not occurred to you: not all damselflies need saving?
And even if I wanted to, I could not follow you into the light, into the light
But I will lead you into the belly of the whale
Yes, I will lead you into the belly of the whale

Track Name: A Haunted Heart
The Butcher, the Baker, the Hard-assed Ball-breaker
One day soon these voices will converge
They’ll have no rhyme or reason—I hear rage is in this season
“But until there’s blood,” you’ll say, “there’s no emergency.”
And we will simply watch here from the sidelines
Waiting for the cavalry to come
The Butcher, the Baker, car-jacked the Undertaker
They’re joyriding through the Underworld
I’ll steer you clear of danger, but when you peel back the layers
You’ll find pomegranate pulp at the core of every girl
And we will simply watch here from the sidelines
Waiting for the cavalry to come
Smoke ‘em if you’ve got ‘em—it ain’t stealing
There really wasn’t much we could’ve done
The Butcher, the Baker, the Mover, the Shaker
The Butcher, the Baker, they’ll move her, they’ll shake her
The Butcher, the Baker, for a price they’ll rearrange her
The Butcher, the Baker, for a price they’ll rearrange her
And we will simply watch here from the sidelines
Waiting for the cavalry to come
Smoke ‘em if you’ve got ‘em—it ain’t stealing
There really wasn’t much we could’ve done
‘Cause there is a hole, there is a hunger, a haunted heart
There is a hole, a hunger, a haunted heart
Be careful what you take from me
Be careful what you take from me
Be careful what you take from me
Be careful what you take from me
‘Cause there is a hole, there is a hunger, a haunted heart
There is a hole, a hunger, a haunted heart

Track Name: My Bad Fortune
It started on a Sunday
Between a sliver of moon and the first winking rays
It leapt up on the corner of my comforter
And slipped into my body
Well, it happened very slowly
Like a bolt of silk unravelling
First, a tiny pinprick on my fingertip
Then a blossom of black water
You say I have a way with words
Of rounding up the wayward, of taking in the strays
I feed them honey in the palm of my cracked, weathered hand
And keep them sated on my bad fortune
It stayed with me ‘til Thursday
And then the earth shook
And with it took back its bright, bloody barb
You say I have a way with words
Of rounding up the wayward, of taking in the strays
I feed them honey in the palm of my cracked, weathered hand
And keep them sated on my bad fortune
So leave me, leave me my little tragedies
My maidens broken on the rocks
My heroes swallowed by the sea
Just leave me, leave me be
So leave me, leave me my little tragedies
My maidens broken on the rocks
My heroes swallowed by the sea
Just leave me, leave me be
